EN NEWS RELEASE:

We’ve got something really exciting that we want to share with you.

In 2013, we joined the 100,000 Homes Campaign, a national initiative of Community Solutions, as a sponsor to further the nonprofit’s mission of helping communities find houses for 100,000 Americans in need of places to live, especially the vulnerable and chronically homeless individuals.

As many of you know, homelessness and working to eradicate homelessness are both a big deal to us at EN…

Community Solutions launched the 100,000 Homes Campaign in 2010 with a goal of finding permanent housing for 100,000 vulnerable and chronically homeless individuals and families by July 2014.

More than 200 communities worked together in this endeavor. When Empower Network joined the cause, more than 60,000 people were in permanent housing thanks to the Campaign’s efforts.

With your help, Empower Network donated $20,000 total to help with this cause. At our various events in 2013 we donated to local 100,000 Homes Campaign affiliates, and last year in Orlando, we were able to donate to the overall 100,000 Homes Campaign.

With our support and the help of other companies and individuals, the 100,000 Homes Campaign successfully reached its goal of providing 100,000 homes to those who needed them most.

As the 100,000 Homes Campaign comes to an end, Community Solutions plans to launch Zero: 2016, a national effort to build on the success of the 100,000 Homes Campaign by helping communities lower the level of chronic and veteran homelessness to zero.

At Empower Network, we’re are lucky to have the opportunity to give back to the community and to organizations such as the 100,000 Homes Campaign. We thank you, our affiliates and members, for supporting us and causes that improve others’ lives.
