Lawrence Tam Knows How To Separate Personal From Professional

It has been my great pleasure to get to know Lawrence Tam from his stage speaking and from his workshop speaking.

Here is what I have learned from Lawrence so far, and I am only just beginning as he inspires me with his facebook posts, his email copy, the way he constructs his marketing funnels and so many other aspects of his marketing including his ninja way of building his business by providing tons of value.

1) Keep your personal social media personal and your business social media business.

2) In the Internet world, there are few rules.  It is constantly evolving rules are broken all the time.  But, you must learn to live with the consequences too though.

3) He tracks everything on spreadsheets (huge breakthrough for me there)

4) You can right now as of 11/25/14 get on the front page of YouTube easily. This will also get you on the front page of Google sometimes, but that has techniques too that you can learn in my inner circle when you join my team.

5) Always be learning and testing new ideas for your marketing techniques.

6) many other advanced techniques that are too complicated and that I would have to charge you for to learn.

7) You must play his $1 game it is a real eye opener.  Everything has a value according to the people that are considering the purchase.

8) Take Massive Action and always do whatever it takes(professionally) to succeed

Reblogged From ‘Laying down the Law’ – Lawrence Tam and Millionaire Q&A

Hey there!

We received some brilliant feedback from our last ‘behind the millionaire’
post, so we’re thrilled to bring you another – from none other than Lawrence
Tam!

Enjoy!

Can you give us three interesting or little known facts about yourself?

A: I was in the Marines Reserve but medically discharged for having exercised induced asthma, even though I played 4 years of football in high school. I first met my wife when I was 11 years old and we have been together 20 years. Empower Network is the reason we have our 3rd baby. She gave me an ultimatum since I really wanted another baby.  She told me “if you can retire yourself before I turn 35, then let’s go for it.”  That motivated me to no end.

What are your hobbies?

A: I like to watch movies at an exceeding loud decibel, eat eat and eat some more and play video games with my son.

Do you have a business/life mantra, motto, theme or tagline or saying?

A: Engineering your success. I retired from engineering and since then have used that.

Can you tell us about your family?

A: Married my highschool sweetheart, have three kids (2, 8, 10) and a Jack Russell Chihuahua mix.

What motivates you?

A: Working for my kids and knowing they will have both my wife and I at home with them and can provide for them. I want to show them anything is possible, expand their vision of what is possible.

Who or what inspires you?

A: Knowing Jesus has me on a mission to help others achieve success beyond their imagination.

Why do you believe you’ve been so successful?

A: My work ethic. Working a full time job and then coming home and hammering this part time, sleeping 4-5 hours a night, and then doing the grind again for years was how bad I wanted to be free from the cubicle. I also like to look at challenges as puzzles instead of giving up. Sure it’s frustrating at times, but I accept life will never be easy but a collection of puzzles. I believe playing football in high school and going to the University of Texas for engineering has prepared me to work hard and in tight time frames.

What difficult challenges have you had to overcome and persevere in your life and/or career?

A: Having no clue how to run a business, let alone be an affiliate, was pretty stressful working it part time. Also, no one believed I could replace my engineering salary so I felt like no one was in my corner rooting for me.

How long have you been an affiliate with Empower Network?

A: I started with Empower at it’s launch in October 2011.

What drew you to Empower Network?

A: I was on my way out of the industry after being fed up with people not producing and not being able to sustain a $10k/month income for years of hard work. Empower Network came with a revolutionary compensation package built on blogging, which is one of my core marketing strategies.

When did you know you would be successful with Empower Network?

A: The first Empower call, Dave said I was the #1 income earner and that just blew my mind but I knew I could do this.

What do you do differently than most network marketers?

A: I’m resourceful. Many give up or refuse to challenge ideas. I’ve seen so many get stuck in their ways without testing and tweaking their business.

Can you tell us a little about your team?

A: My team is called “Team Project Mayhem”. I guide my teams by sharing how I build and encourage their own creative styles. I love the fact I have team members who hit the leaderboards and generate more income than I do.

What about Empower Network do you enjoy?

A: The style of marketing and ability to be who you want to be.

Where were you when you crossed the million dollar mark?

A: I was probably having a date night. I don’t know the exact time as the commissions come in pretty big waves.

Now that you’re a million dollar earner, what’s next?

A: I want to help my team members who follow my vision in building Empower to be at least 6 figure earners.

What words of wisdom do you have for others in Empower Network?

A: The moment you feel you have learned enough, it’s time to hang it up and get a job. Always be learning.

And those not yet involved with Empower Network?

A: Empower is the #1 place to plug in and learn about internet marketing, affiliate marketing, and building a business. Any business.

How has your involvement with Empower Network changed your life?

A: I‘ve retired from engineering at the age of 33 and my wife gets to be a full time stay at home mom, retired from accounting. We are basically full time parents that run a home business with internet marketing. That is something our friends can’t fathom, but our Empower family knows as daily life.

And your family?

A: How cool is it that our kids’ classmates always ask them “How come both your parents get to come to school events every time?”  They get to experience a different type of lifestyle where we travel a lot as a family and just be around a lot more than anyone else they know.

And your community?

A: We have been blessed to help build some water wells, help with the building of our church and even start a school in Uganda. Jesus blessed us with this amazing business so we could be a blessing to others.  We also sponsor multiple children (Asia and Central America) and our kids enjoy receiving/sending correspondence with them

What advice do you have for others in the Empower Network who want to achieve what you have?

A: Your growth comes not only when you make a sale but also comes when you gain confidence in yourself. See youself getting traffic to your blog posts, or even getting more engagement in your emails. It’s not only sales, it’s growth in all areas.

Knowing what you know now, what might you have done differently in the past? If you could start over tomorrow, what would you avoid doing that wasn’t productive? Within Empower Network? Outside Empower Network?

A: I would have investigated vendors, contractors and consultants before putting time, energy and resources into them.  I would have done my due diligence on them.

Anything else you want to add or say to Empower Network blog readers?

A: Life is like a box of chocolates, and they taste great. Enjoy every minute of this wild, wacky ride and figure out “WHY” you are wanting to generate an other income. Love the growing process and embrace how it makes you a better person.
